We Heart Chocolate!
Sherri’s Food for Thought is stocking up on lots of Ghirardelli chocolates to make truffles drizzled in white chocolate and strawberries dipped in melted chocolate. Why that particular brand? Because it has a higher concentration of cocoa, making everything THAT much better, Sherri says. But first we’ll begin with a whitefish a la Oscar, a tender fish fillet wrapped around a crabmeat and asparagus filling topped with creamy Hollandaise sauce, a sweet-tart cranberry vinaigrette salad and hearty Himalayan grain blend pilaf.
It’s set for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, February 12 at YWCA, 301 North St., Batavia.
After some hands-on cooking, participants will get the chance to relax, eat the meal, sip some wine and chat with fellow foodies. The evening will be topped off with those plump juicy berries dressed in chocolate and nuts (optional) and defiantly delicious (and good-for-you) chocolate truffles for dessert.
