First there was Black Friday, followed by Small Business Saturday and then Cyber Monday. Today is Giving Tuesday, which should be followed by Weeping Wednesday (after all of that spending)! Since we are only into the second day of December, it’s likely you’ve still got some shopping to do for those friends, family members, co-workers, your hair stylist, child’s teacher, mailman and dog groomer.
Luckily, our Second Annual Holiday Bazaar is right around the corner with PLENTY of gift options for all of those needs. How about some essential oils, dessert mixes, assorted jewelry, goat milk soaps, quilted wall hangings of nature, holiday table runners, knitted scarves and mittens, painted wooden decor, a few bags of roasted cashews in pretty packaging and prepared cookie dough made with premium ingredients. It’s one-stop shopping of local vendors and artisans.
Plan to come hungry and check out Sherri’s Food for Thought white chicken chili or New England clam chowder, served with a whole-grain roll. Chef Sherri Watters-Siena has a simple but profound philosophy about food: get rid of the processed stuff and stick to wholesome, fresh ingredients. Healthy does not have to be bland or boring! Find out for yourself with Sherri’s lunch items and cookies. They’ll be available for purchase from 10-3 this Saturday, Dec. 6 at YWCA, 301 North St., Batavia.
