There’s a lot happening at YWCA in Batavia these days. We are still accepting your gently used household, clothing and sporting good items for the March Madness Blow-out Sale! It’s set for Saturday, March 29 from 9 to 4. Please help turn your used goods into someone else’s treasures! There will be free childcare and a scrap metal collection from 9 to 1 during the sale. A chicken barbecue — a plump half chicken, salt potatoes, baked beans, roll & butter plus dessert — will be available starting at 11 until sold out. $10 the day of sale, $9 with advance purchase. FREE delivery for orders of 10 or more.
YW is also seeking vendors for this year’s Market @ North Street. Products include vegetables, meats, cheeses, honey, maple syrup, flowers, herbs, fruits or any other locally grown or made item. It will run from 10 to 2 Sundays from July to October. Tables are $10 a week or 25 % off if you commit to the entire season. Crafters may book up to two Sundays so as to ensure variety for the public. Book now, as it’s a first come, first-served opportunity.
Can you carry a tune, act, dance or provide some other fun talent? We’d love to hear from you as well. The Market is a place to buy quality, locally produced goods, get a freshly prepared lunch and be able to watch local talent while you relax under a shady tree!
