What’s in a Salad?
Memorial Day has traditionally been reserved for parades and honoring veterans that have served our country. It often also includes picnics and gatherings for family and friends.
Sherri’s Food for Thought May cooking class will feature yummy salads you can prepare for Memorial Day festivities! There’s a marinated cold veggie plate, potato and egg salad with a mustard-y dressing and sesame chicken pasta, made crunchy, sweet and tangy with slivered almonds, cranberries, mandarin oranges and water chestnuts. There will also be a picnic-worthy dessert and lots of fun culinary chatter!
Thursday, May 14 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at YWCA. $25 includes hands-on lessons, recipe cards, a meal, samples to take home and a complimentary glass of wine. (585) 343-5808
