Remembering Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Celebrating women who have made an impact on history
Women’s Equality Day commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, granting the right to vote to women. The amendment was first introduced in 1878. In 1971, the U.S. Congress designated August 26 as Women’s Equality Day.
During National Black History Month, we honor the extraordinary contributions made by African Americans throughout the history of our country.
As we embark on the celebration of our 110-year anniversary – we do so with profound pride! Our yearlong celebration will begin by paying tribute to our founder and first president of the Batavia YWCA, Frances G. Francis.
